The Cartier Santos style was first introduced in 1904 when Louis Cartier designed a wrist watch for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. This iteration was introduced in the 1980s as a playful reinterpretation of the line that cemented Cartier as an innovative and expansive design house. Composed of an octagonal shape, exposed screws, and signature Cartier design elements; it's cemented as a collectors item due to its limited production and discontinuation in 2002.
